Sound like a chemical reaction

People that went to our Speedcore Italia events were already familiar with this guy. And recently, Hydroxide actually joined the family for real. So now, he will also play during the 15 year anniversary of our main artist. So let's give our newest artist the stage to let him talk about his past, the present and the upcoming future.

My journey as a fan of hardcore/terror started when I was 14 years old, when I discovered the Terrordrome compilation CDs. It was the first electronic music that truly resonated with me and so, I instantly fell in love with it. One year later, I felt the urge to create my own sound and started experimenting with music production. That's where my obsession began. Of course, the first productions weren't great, but the excitement of creating something unique keeps driving me every day. Every track I create, even if not perfect, holds a special meaning to me.

The artist name actually comes from a scientific origin. In chemistry, hydroxide (OH⁻) is a highly reactive, negatively charged polyatomic ion. It can break down molecules, neutralize acids into water, and catalyze reactions. I treat sound like a chemical reaction: deconstructing, reshaping, and pushing it to the limits, using dissonance as a nucleophilic strike to dismantle predictable structures. Just like in science, where reactions can lead to unexpected discoveries, I embrace unpredictability and controlled chaos in my music. For me, experimentation is essential. Without it, where's the fun?

Let the solution boil

I got in touch with Speedcore Italia by my love for the music. I had been a fan of Valerio's (Nekrosystem's) work for years and I closely followed all the SCI releases. For me, it was the ideal label to release my music on. So, I reached out to Valerio about the possibility to release some of my tracks here. After sending some examples, they really liked my productions. And after a few releases on the label, I was invited to perform at one of their events. That's how it all really started to roll.

The first time Speedcore Italia invited me to play at one of their parties was during the first edition of We Cause Violence. I was beyond excited! It was my first time performing outside of Italy, and it had been years since my last set. The moment I arrived at the venue, I knew this was something special. The extreme sound system in the bunker, the raw energy, and especially the dedicated crowd. People travel countless kilometers just to be there, driven purely by their love for this music. It all felt like one big family, where everybody shared the same passion, making every event an unforgettable experience.

Later, I played at Deadtown 10. It was my first Deadtown and my first versus set with Lysergide. We have been producing together for seven years at the moment, but I'd never met him in person before, which made this moment even more special. After also playing at the following two Deadtown editions, Valerio asked me if I wanted to officially join Speedcore Italia. And of course, I immediately accepted the offer.

It's honestly a dream come true to be part of the organization. Being able to share my music with more people and contribute to a label that has shaped the scene means the world to me. Speedcore Italia isn't just a music label. It's a family, a movement, a force driving the genre forward. Being surrounded by some of the best artists in the scene is both an honor and a challenge, that pushes me to keep evolving, refining my sound, and pushing my own limits.

From liquid to solid

15 Years Nekrosystem is the next event I'm part of. This event will be extreme! I expect this event will be extreme. Nekrosystem has been a major force in the terror and speedcore scene for all these years, and this event will be a pure celebration of that legacy. Each artist will bring their unique sound to the table, delivering the hardest sets possible. No compromises, just pure high-speed destruction.

To Valerio I want to say thank you! Thank you for 15 years of incredible terror and speedcore. Thank you for building this up together with Muisz. The Speedcore Italia family is a beacon in the extreme scene that has united so many people. And a personal thank you for believing in my music and inviting me to join Speedcore Italia. Your dedication and passion have shaped the sound of terror and speedcore and inspired countless producers, including myself. Here's to 15 years of pure chaos and terror, and to many more years of pushing the limits of extreme music!

This event will be a milestone celebration of Nekrosystem's journey. An extreme anniversary. The line-up is heavy as fuck, and the sound system of our beloved tunnel is going to be pushed to its absolute limits!

Making a suspension

During 15 Years Nekrosystem, I will do a versus set with Reaktor-TH. This will be our first ever live versus set, and we couldn't be more excited to this. For some time now, we've been working on a versus album, featuring both collaborations and solo tracks. And this set will be the perfect way to showcase it. I can guarantee you: it's going to be heavy!

Reactor-TH, both as an artist and as a person, is amazing. Truly one of the kindest people I've ever met. We first met at a SCI party and instantly became friends. Not long after that, we started collaborating on music. Our production styles share a common vision, yet remain distinct. This makes the results even more interesting. I really admire his approach. His prolonged hypersonic kicks, dark atmospheres, and thoughtful use of silence, creating a tension that builds up before impact. If you haven't seen him live yet, you definitely should!
