In preparation of Deadtown 10, we already had the honour to bring the Japanese mastermind RedOgre to Europe. And now, it's time to bring this insane powerhouse to Nekrosystem's Forbidden Zone, as his only European gig this year. So enough reasons to get in touch with him again for a sequel interview.
Welcome back! How are you doing since last time?
Yeah, thank you! I'm doing fine.
Since last time I updated my producer set library. I've got a lot of inspiration because of Deadtown 10, so that helped a lot.
How do you look back at Deadtown 10 in general?
This event had a huge impact on me. Id changed my perspective on speedcore loving people. All ages and genders thoroughly enjoyed the sonic boom emanating from the loud sounding speakers. It was so shocking that I could do was drink a beer and everything come to me. It made me feel that I needed to create tracks that accommodate this situation.
Have you done any major projects since then?
In Europe, I participated in some VA compilations, together with other great artists. Here in Japan, I was also part of some VAs, as well as playing at some great Japanese hardcore events. They were really good!
For 2025, I plan to continue joining multiple VAs and events, so stay tuned.
You will play at Speedcore Italia's newest event: Nekrosystem's Forbidden Zone. What do you expect from this?
I expect this event will bring a new playground for the terror and speedcore scene in the Netherlands. This year will be the final edition of Noisekick's Terrordrang, and this event feels like a successor to it. One of the reasons for this is because this event will be held in the same venue.
Also, it's a new event so I'm really looking forward to play here and listen to the other performers playing. I really want to explore Nekrosystem's Forbidden Zone with everyone!
After so many years, you are back in the Netherlands. What do you remember from this first time?
Oh yes, I remember it very vividly. I was really nervous about traveling to Europe all by myself for the first time. But when I've got here, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming Speedcore Italia family, and my friends there. I felt truly happy.
At that time, I already at three great events. First the Speedcore Italia Web Show, than Noisekick's Terrordrang, and finally the Hardcore Fan Day, incollaboration with Dissoactive and Suicide Rage. All of those were invaluable experiences for me.
And now you are playing at Club Rodenburg, what do you expect from this venue?
This will be the first time going to this location, since the Terrordrang I played at was held in Gemert instead. I'm really looking forward to everything, from the sound system to the scale, both of the location itself as well as the audience. I want to feel the full experience, the excitement of the scene in the Netherlands.
What do you want to say to the Dutch audience that may intend to come to this event?
It will be a great new event at Nekrosystem's Forbidden Zone, so let's have fun together! And if you are here, please have a listen to my set if you like. And of course: MORE TERROR!!! MORE SPEEDCORE!!!
Any final thing you want you want to share?
Have a listen to my latest releases. I would really appreciate that! Here I share the links to the VAs I'm part of.
Thanks again to RedOgre for this second interview. Witness this exclusive terror and speedcore liveact during Nekrosystem's Forbidden Zone, Saturday the 1st of March 2025. Get your tickets on our website.
