The final frontier in the north

It’s almost time for 15 Years Nekrosystem, the event to celebrate our boss’ anniversary as an artist. And one of the guys that will make sure this anniversary will not go passed by silent, is a really recognizable guy at our events. Straight for the cold lands of Norway, we have asked Reaktor-TH do a special interview for a special event.

Hello Cristian, thank you for the interview!

Aloha! Yes I'm happy to do so.

How did you get in touch with hardcore/terror/speedcore?

I started my journey in the hard scene back in 2011. Before that, around 2008, I was playing Schranz and hardbass. I used to listen a lot of hardcore, like Thunderdome and early hardcore and terror simultaneously, before I started to play and produce it myself. My biggest idols were Drokz, DJ Plague (CSR) and 3 Steps Ahead.

How is the hardcore scene in your home country, if there is any?

In Norway, there is a very little amount of hard music we like and know. It's mostly hardstyle, trance, and DnB (drum and bass). And very rarely you see some uptempo. Basically I'm the only one making the hard shit in here :D

How did you get involved with Nekrosystem/Speedcore Italia?

I followed Nekrosystem through his first releases and he became one of my favourite artists. I remembered one of my first releases on Speedcore Worldwide was on the same compilation as a track of him. His style was always very impressive and an inspiration to me. Through all of that, I had the opportunity to meet him and Muisz in Poland, at one of Groan-er's signature parties he was doing back then. I think it was somewhere around 2018-2019.

I was there too! That was in 2018 in Warsaw. We met there as well!

Haha yes! That first gig on the same line-up with Nekrosystem was epic! We kept contact and times later, I became part of the SCI family.

How would you describe your style?

I define it in two (or three) words, as my tracks are: short but intense. As many listeners may notice, I never do tracks over 3-4 minutes. Or even 10 minutes as the German legend Jensen hehe (also on the line-up of the event, red.). I like to keep the hype and make the tracks as hard as possible.

You will play during 15 years of Nekrosystem, what do you expect from this unique event?

I expect the same stuff as always. A unique and crazy event, just as all of the SCI events. Only this time I really hope the big boss Muisz will join us. That will make it an extra special and very cool event, among other things that will be happening. The event has an amazing line-up and of course, it's in the legendary Mikroport Club.

What makes playing in Mikroport so special?

It is the Mekka of speedcore. The sound system, the vibe, it's all perfect. From the technicians, security, bartenders. You can feel really safe in here, just like home. I can't ask for anything more than the best club. I already played here several times and each time it's something extraordinary. I always feel the hype like it's the first time playing there. And our public is the best and most loyal group ever!

What do you want to say to Nekrosystem about this anniversary?

Valerio, you can be proud of everything you have achieved all these years. Being the speaker of our music genres. Thanks to you, speedcore and extreme terror have been played at the biggest and most important events in Europe. And by that, I can say you are a big inspiration to all of us. A great friend, a great boss, a great idol, and a great mentor. Grazie il capo!

You will play a special versus set together with Hydroxide. How's that going to be?

It's an honour and pleasure to play together with Hydroxide. He's a true brother. The first time I met him, at the same day, we already started to discuss about making collabs asap. And now, we are in our way to finish our first duo album. He is a very talented artist with a great style and skills. A very genuine and versatile style.

Why should people join (your set during) this event?

They know why. After some pizza, the chaos and real hard shit are coming. As I mentioned earlier in this interview, the people who come to our events are the best and most loyal people you could ever have and wish for. Big respect to our speedcoreheads!
